Community Meeting Round 2
Can't join us in person for Round 2 of the WNC Community Meetings? Concurrent with the meetings, we will be providing a web-based version of the meeting so you can review materials and provide your input. Check back at our website for updates, or sign up for our mailing list to receive a notice when the web-based meeting is available.
Community Road Trip
GroWNC is focused on economic competitiveness and job creation for our region. Over the course of a year, the GroWNC project team, Consortium, Steering Committee, and Workgroups are listening to community input, carefully examining existing plans, and presenting models to the region that will demonstrate and define what our future looks like. At a series of community meetings, residents of the region will be asked about their goals for the future of our community and to identify strategies, actions and early implementation projects that should be brought forward for final recommendation to the Steering Committee, LOS Board, and participating member governments and organizations.
That’s where you come in! We need your input and your thoughts and opinions in order to create a plan that encourages the following:
• quality jobs
• new investment in this region
• diverse economic development strategies
• quality housing options
• efficient transportation systems
• energy and financial savings
• healthier people and communities
• better use of natural and cultural resources
What you share in this Road Trip conversation will be a key part of the larger planning process and the strategies presented at the end of the year.
You can conduct this Interactive Meeting you’re your friends and neighbors, coworkers, or with an organization to which you belong. Prefer to provide input on your own? You can do so with our individual survey here. To make sure you don't miss any updates, sign up for the GroWNC newsletter and we'll keep you posted!
Thank you for your help!

Updated Grant Information - We have received some questions about the timing of the meetings and the requirement to conduct them by the end of July. Our goal is to have these meetings conducted by the end of July so that we can incorporate the input into the next steps of the process. If you would like to propose a slightly later date for submitting the meeting results, please give a target date when the input will be submitted and a brief (one sentence) explanation of why you would like additional time for conducting the meetings.
